Howdy, I'm John!
I enjoy documenting the world around me through photography and writing. I love sharing my favorite experiences from Austin and around the world on Hop Safari Experiences.
Professionally, I develop iOS applications. For fun, I make photographs, travel, and windsurf. John occasionally brews beer at home, and goes to a lot of food, beer, and cocktail events, which he documents with photos and video. Occasionally John publishes a book.
Depending on the day, you'll find John:
- At the Beach, windsurfing
- Walking the dogs in the greenbelt
- Taking photos of his food at a restaurant or event
- Developing iPhone, iPad, or web apps
- Attending technology conferences
- The Alamo Drafthouse, watching a movie and drinking a craft beer
- A local craft brewery helping out or taking photos
- Crossfit Central, working out
- On a photo walk
The Business
Hop Safari is a part of Moving Average Inc., a small independent publisher founded by John. Moving Average sells books and services for business owners and software developers.
