Minnesota Restaurant Favorites

Twin Cities Area

Frida's Little Mexico, Spring Lake Park

A family-run Mexican restaurant. Unlike many local competitors, this place has flavor.

Homi Restaurant, Saint Paul

A family-run Mexican restaurant that should be famous for its Sunday brunch. Birria tacos. Green chile enchiladas. Need I say more?

Pizzeria Lola, Minneapolis

A delicious pizza place run by James Beard Award-winning chef Ann Kim. I loved the Korean BBQ Pizza and the Boise.

Bar La Grassa, Minneapolis

A fancier Italian place with high-quality food for sharing. I love the gnocchi.

Bar La Grassa gnocchi

Owamni, Minneapolis

Owamni offers a high-end glimpse into what the locals ate before Europeans arrived. No beef. No dairy. No cane sugar.

I recommend the Crickets & Popcorn, if they haven't sold out.

Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co., Blaine

A Yemeni coffee chain with photogenic and delicious pastries. I enjoyed the Qamaria Latte, which has cardamom and cinnamon, and the Pistachio Latte. The aroma inside will amaze hyou.

Kramarczuk's Sausage Co., Minneapolis

A deli, pastry shop, and cafeteria-style eatery. I love their kielbasa and pierogies. Don't forget the saurkraut. If you love Polish or Ukrainian food, you must stop here.

Anapurna Eats, Plymouth

Takeout Indian food inside an Indian grocery. I'm a big fan of the goat pepper fry, the butter chicken, the peshawari naan, and the biryani. Don't forget to browse the grocery store to get some cookies and spicy snacks. The "Good Day" pistachio cookies are quite addictive.

Rochester

Terza

A nice Italian restaurant with hand-made noodles, within walking distance of the Mayo Clinic. The prices were quite reasonable. Get the hand-made noodles!
